You can request deletion of your Social Pilot account and associated data at any time. This page describes how.
What gets deleted
- Your user account and login credentials
- Your business profile, services, team members, promos, and preferences
- All content you have created in Social Pilot, including drafts, scheduled posts, and review reply history
- OAuth tokens for connected social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Google Business Profile, Yelp, and others). These are revoked immediately upon deletion.
- Analytics, tracked links, and click data associated with your account
What may persist briefly
- Backups: data may remain in encrypted backups for up to 30 days after account deletion before being permanently overwritten in our backup rotation.
- Aggregate analytics: anonymized usage data with no personally identifiable information may be retained.
- Records required by law: billing and tax records will be retained as required by applicable law (typically 7 years for financial records).
What we cannot delete
Posts that have already been published to your connected social platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.) live on those platforms directly. To remove them, you must use each platform's own tools, or we can guide you through the process before you delete your Social Pilot account.
How to request deletion
Option 1 — From within the Service
Sign in to Social Pilot, go to Settings → Account, and click Delete account. You will be asked to confirm. Once confirmed, deletion begins immediately.
Option 2 — By email
If you can't access your account, email info@chesapeake.biz from the email address associated with your account, with the subject line:
Delete my Social Pilot account
We will verify your identity and process the request within 7 business days.
Option 3 — Through Meta or another platform
If you have removed Social Pilot's permissions from your Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok account but want us to also delete the data we have stored about you, please use Option 1 or Option 2 above. Removing app permissions on a platform does not by itself trigger deletion of data we have already stored.
Timeline
- Immediate: account access disabled, OAuth tokens revoked
- Within 7 business days: identity verified (if requested by email) and deletion initiated
- Within 90 days: all account data permanently removed from active systems
- Within 120 days: data overwritten in backups
